Traves City is a small town less than 13 miles from east to west. It only has about 40 miles of main roads, and is not a major center for commerce. Many of the locals (including those of its neighboring cities) have come to simply call it "Travescity"; or, for the more cynical, "Travesty." Its size and grandeur pales in comparison to the nation's capital city which lies roughly 20 miles to the north-west. However, the city does have one thing that makes it a very important place, apart from its relative closeness to the capital. Traves City is home to the nation's center for international travel. Because of this, Traves sees regular travel to and from the capital city, as well as the bordering nation of Krevala. Traves itself is not a primary center for politics either, but it sees its fair share of politicians and diplomats pass through regularly. Many of them even prefer to take up temporary residence there, instead of spending their entire stay at the capital. If nothing else, it can be easily said that transportation and lodging, as well as a variety of other tourist services thrive here.
